Roasted Pumpkin Hummus

Not too many snacks can be both healthy and delicious, at least not as much as this roasted pumpkin hummus. It’s great choice for healthy snack, easy to make, fail prove, incredibly versatile recipe.


Yield: 10 servings

Baking time: 30 minutes


  • about 400g. /fresh pumpkin 
  • pinch of cumin 
  • pinch of mustard seeds 
  • dash of cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika 
  • 1 cup chickpeas 
  • 1 tbsp. tahini 
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice 
  • 1 clove of garlic 
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil 
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • To make the roasted pumpkin hummus is super simple. Start by roasting the chopped pumpkin with the spices (cumin, mustard seed, cinnamon and paprika in a 200C preheated oven for about 30 minutes. 
  • Once baked, bland one cup of the roasted pumpkin with the rest of the ingredients in a food processor. That’s about half of the roasted pumpkin.
  • Adjust the consistency by adding chickpea water or chickpeas. Enjoy
